A growth-stage recruiting firm is looking for a Head of Sales/Sales Manager to build a high-performance outbound sales desk. The ideal candidate will have proven success in outbound sales, experience in selling services, and a hands-on leadership style. They will recruit and manage a growing business development team while building strong client relationships. This is an on-site, full-time role based in Bellville, South Africa.

Job description

Head of Sales / Sales Manager

On-site, Full-time (5 days/week)

2IC to the Founder | Growth-stage environment

We’re partnering with a fast-scaling recruitment firm to find a Sales Leader who’s hungry to build something exceptional from the ground up. You'll be joining as the second-in-command to the Founder, with full ownership over building and leading the Business Development (BD) function globally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and lead a high-performance outbound sales desk from scratch
  • Focus on cold calling, outbound prospecting, and heavy cadence selling
  • Sell a service-based solution (not a product), building strong client relationships
  • Personally lead from the front while developing and upskilling your future team
  • Recruit, train, and manage a BD team (target: 20–30 heads within 2 years)
  • Can cover any market: South Africa, MEA, US, EU (with Miami expansion on the horizon)
  • Collaborate with a strong delivery function (5 consultants, ready to scale)

Must-Haves:

  • Proven success in outbound sales with a focus on cold calling
  • Experience selling a service, solution, or intangible product
  • Ability to build and manage a high-performance team
  • Hands-on leadership style – willing to lead from the front
  • Strong track record of developing, training, and mentoring BD consultants
  • Willing and able to be in-office 5 days/week
  • Recruitment experience preferred, especially as a Billing Manager
