Job summary

A leading HVAC project management firm seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of HVAC projects, primarily focusing on VRV, VRF, and DX systems. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years in the HVAC industry and proven experience in managing project pricing and P&L. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC industry, with at least 5 years in a senior project role.
• Proven experience delivering VRV / VRF and DX projects in commercial environments.
• Strong track record in project pricing, commercial management, and P&L ownership.
• Excellent knowledge of SANS codes, installation best practices, and OEM requirements.

Project Leadership

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC projects (with focus on VRV, VRF, and DX systems).
• Manage and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and technicians.
• Ensure technical compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

Commercial & Financial

Accurately price tenders and quotes, including labour, materials, and subcontractor costs.

Own the P&L for the Projects division, with clear focus on cost control, cash flow, and margin.

Manage project budgets, progress claims, variations, and final accounts.

Operational Oversight

Implement project management best practices and enforce adherence to timelines and deliverables.

Conduct regular project reviews, manage risks, and troubleshoot site challenges.

Ensure seamless coordination with internal departments (procurement, design, service, etc.) and external stakeholders (consultants, clients, subcontractors).

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC industry, with at least 5 years in a senior project role.

Proven experience delivering VRV / VRF and DX projects in commercial environments.

Strong track record in project pricing, commercial management, and P&L ownership.

Excellent knowledge of SANS codes, installation best practices, and OEM requirements.

Preferred :

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (Diploma or Degree).

Exposure to chilled water systems, BMS, or ventilation projects is an advantage.

Experience in construction / contracting environments with strong documentation and reporting.
