Duties & Responsibilities
Manufacturing and Production Processes
- Support the scalability of manufacturing to order across multiple countries while providing strategic direction.
- Implement and maintain a best-in-class manufacturing and production operation where necessary.
- Establish and roll out plans to ensure all operators are cross-functional capable.
- Contribute strategically to the improvement of plant availability and productivity.
- Lead and contribute to project identification, development, and implementation.
Equipment
- Contribute to improvements and expansion projects as required.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities with your teams.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement improvement projects.
Team Leadership
- Set objectives and manage the performance of team members.
- Work with departmental managers to ensure staff are properly resourced and trained.
- Apply consistent discipline and fairness to direct reports.
- Train and develop staff continuously to facilitate skill development and succession planning.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective communication.
- Manage working hours and overtime effectively.
Quality
- Commit to quality through focused effort, strategic direction, and skillful execution.
- Ensure ISO standards are implemented and maintained.
- Instill a quality mindset among all staff members in production departments.
Safe Operating Environment
- Ensure correct PPE usage for all activities.
- Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across departments.
- Conduct risk assessments and update work instructions regularly.
- Perform job observations and report near misses to the EHS committee.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- BSc in Engineering or a related Production field.
- At least 10 years of FMCG operational experience.
- Preferably, project experience in packaging, production, or process improvement.
