Blacksmith Agency seeks a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to lead the PPC and SEO functions. You will oversee the PPC and SEO strategists, set quality standards, and own department delivery. You’ll be the client-facing owner when accounts underperform and shape channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.

You will not build campaigns; your team handles execution, while you own strategy, audits, reporting, and client outcomes. This is a management role with leadership duties.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO
• Experience managing accounts and owning reviews
• Strong depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads
• Agency experience carrying many accounts at once
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account is underperforming
• Able to articulate channel strategy and budget allocation

Responsibilities

• Own the PPC and SEO functions; lead the specialists reporting to you
• Set quality bars and audits; ensure work leaves with standards
• Drive client results and ensure reporting accuracy and honesty
• Manage escalations when accounts are at risk and lead client calls
• Define channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale
• Communicate capabilities to sales before deals are closed
• Plan department hiring and conduct first-round interviews (within a quarter)
