Job description

a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Head of Partnership Marketing to join our team in Cape Town.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Develop Partnership Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with marketing and business objectives.
  2. Identify and Evaluate Partnership Opportunities: Research potential partners and evaluate based on strategic fit, audience alignment, and potential impact.
  3. Negotiate Partnership Agreements: Lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial agreements, including campaign agreements and T&Cs. Define partnership terms, goals, objectives, deliverables, and commercials.
  4. Manage Partnership Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with partners, serve as the main point of contact, and ensure effective communication throughout the partnership and campaign lifecycle.
  5. Collaborate on Marketing Campaigns: Work with marketing teams to integrate partnership initiatives, develop creative briefs, and leverage assets to meet campaign objectives.
  6. Execute Partnership Campaigns: Manage campaign briefs and execution from concept to completion, coordinating with stakeholders for seamless delivery.
  7. Track, Analyse, and Report Performance: Define KPIs, monitor metrics, analyze data, and generate insights to optimize strategies.
  8. Manage Partnership Budget: Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resource efficiency and adherence.
  9. Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship to the partnership team, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting professional growth.
  10. Operational Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly management reports.
  11. Industry Trends and Best Practices: Keep the team informed about industry developments and recommend strategic adaptations.

Attributes required: Strong negotiation and relationship skills, excellent communication, analytical mindset, creative thinking, ability to manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related; master's preferred. 5-7 years of marketing and retail experience.
