Job description

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives, increasing efficiencies and reducing costs.
  • Lead and manage the operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of operational processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators and pipeline management for the team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g. FICA, FAIS, TCF, POPIA, Employee Equity, etc.).
  • Manage budgets and financial reporting for operational areas.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure alignment and effective communication across GrowthHouse.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Own and drive the financial advisor onboarding operational process end to end.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in administration and services to financial advisers.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or CFP preferred.
  • Experience with operational process improvement and implementation of new systems and technology (e.g. Elite Wealth, atWork, Xplan, Jira, etc.).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
