Job description

Red Ember is seeking to hire an Operational Manager based in Cape Town.

  • Build and implement organizational systems automation tools and reporting methods to increase efficiency across travel bookings optimize workflows and further enhance the client experience.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient running of daytoday operations across all company projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance utilizing data and analytics to identify areas for improvement recommend new strategies and implement solutions.
  • Oversee company finances. Create reports to track and summarize all revenue and expenses.
  • Establish and manage operational budgets monitor expenditures identify areas to optimize our margins and implement costsaving measures to ensure financial optimization across all business activities.
  • Develop company hiring strategy and oversee future hiring processes.

Requirements

  • Strong operations background : 7 years of operations experience.
  • Degree in business administration or finance.
  • Preference for applicants who have managerial experience in the travel industry and / or startup experience.
  • Independent and entrepreneurial : This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit someone who takes initiative to tackle problems independently without a handbook (this hire will build the operational handbook).
  • The candidate should be confident, self-motivated and goal-driven. If you are detail-orientated and accurate this might be the role for you.
