Head of Marketing & Brand Fintech | Cape Town

A purpose-driven fintech scale-up based in Cape Town is looking for a Head of Marketing & Brand to join their senior management team. This is a mission-led business focused on making financial services more accessible and affordable for underserved communities across Africa.

Why this role matters :

Youll own the full marketing and brand strategy across growth, acquisition, retention and loyalty. This role is central to expanding their customer base through digital, agent-led and commercial channels.

Youll be responsible for :

Developing and executing strategies that drive customer acquisition and retention

Leading and growing a high-performing marketing and design team

Owning the customer journey across brand, product and agent networks

Improving commercial and operational efficiency

Proposing new growth initiatives, partnerships and digital innovations

In your first 90 days, you will :

Deeply understand the customer base, products, and agent ecosystem

Define and start executing your acquisition and retention strategy

Identify tools, team needs and process improvements

Begin shaping the commercial roadmap

About you :

Experienced in leading marketing and commercial growth in retail, fintech or financial services

Strong across both digital and physical customer acquisition and retention strategies

Data-driven, performance-obsessed, with exceptional leadership and communication skills

Purpose-led and collaborative, with a genuine interest in social impact

Experience in high-growth fintech or startup environments
