Job Description:

In this role you will lead the maintenance function to ensure the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of cleanliness and order, while collaborating across departments and delivering excellent service to guests.

  • Supervise the maintenance team and conduct performance reviews
  • Collaborate with all departments to address equipment and operational needs
  • Respond to maintenance requests from staff and guests promptly
  • Carry out regular inspections and general repairs across the hotel, including pools, HVAC systems, plumbing, and safety features
  • Maintain service schedules for heating, cooling, and water systems
  • Manage relationships and contracts with external service providers
  • Monitor the maintenance budget, track expenditure, and prepare reports
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service

Experience Required:

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in the same or similar role with at least 2 years at the same property
  • Own vehicle and drivers licence
  • Practical experience in general maintenance and repair work
  • Proven leadership with team supervision and delegation skills
  • Strong planning and task prioritisation abilities
  • Confident in report writing, presenting, and clear communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Skilled in using various tools, including hand, power, air, and battery-operated equipment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Committed to delivering excellent guest service and support
