AGC Legal Recruitment’s client, a leading energy solutions provider in South Africa, seeks a Head of Legal to lead risk, contracts and corporate matters across the group. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, shape legal strategy and manage a growing legal team.

The role requires admitted attorney status with 6–10 years post-qualification experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of SA corporate and commercial law.

Qualifikationen

• Admitted attorney with 6–10 years post-admission experience.
• Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiating of complex agreements.
• Proven ability to manage complex legal transactions.
• Excellent problem-solving and client-facing skills.
• Deep knowledge of SA corporate and commercial law.

Aufgaben

• Draft, review, settle and negotiate a range of agreements including PPAs, EPC/EPCM contracts.
• Lead and manage the legal function and a team.
• Provide strategic corporate counsel and support on mergers and acquisitions.
• Ensure compliance and risk management across the group.
• Oversee debt recovery and project pipeline management.
