This pivotal role will ensure the company operates with integrity and within the full framework of South African law.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert legal guidance on contracts, risk management, and disputes, including client and insurer binder agreements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with key regulations like FSCA, POPIA, and FICA, while maintaining all company policies and risk registers.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with regulators and managing all external audits and regulatory submissions.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Leading compliance projects to identify gaps and implement effective mitigating actions across the business.

Requirements:

  • LLB or equivalent law degree with 8-10 years of legal/compliance experience.
  • Proven senior-level experience within the financial services or insurance industry.
