Job description

The Head of Key Accounts Manager for Impulse is a senior sales leadership role, responsible for direct management of our largest gas accounts, as well as managing the Key Account team responsible for the balance of the gas portfolio and convenience customer accounts. This team is responsible for the sales volume and profitability targets for major national customers across South Africa. The Head of Key Account Manager needs to be able to devise a long-term strategy with medium-term vision, based on thorough understanding of customers, channel trends, and opportunities, with attention to detail. This senior role requires a 'hands-on' leader, who sets ambitious goals, with clear expectations, ultimately delivering on key initiatives. This person needs to feel comfortable with taking calculated risks, identifying, and exploiting opportunities, in order to achieve business advantages.

The responsibilities include leading and managing the implementation of Red Bull's commercial strategy at all key customers, developing customer strategies, implementing pricing strategies, delivering promotional plans, analyzing data to identify growth opportunities, planning sales forecasts, negotiating with customers, tracking volume and profitability, building strong partnerships, and leading the Key Accounts team across various retail channels. The ideal candidate should have a university degree, 5-10 years of experience in Key Account/Commercial Management, excellent network and negotiation skills, experience in managing price increases, and willingness to travel 40-50%. The role is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
