We are seeking a highly organized and disciplined Technical Operations Manager / Director with exceptional leadership skills, a strong sense of structure, and a keen ability to measure and ensure progress across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of development, sysadmin, and technical support teams; assess current operations and identify areas for improvement across the customer lifecycle.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives, aligning technical operations with overall business objectives.
- Establish and maintain clear metrics for measuring team performance and progress, ensuring quality, quantity standards, and deadlines are met.
- Hold team members accountable for meeting expectations, resolve issues, conflicts, and misalignments within teams as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting cross-functional teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Identify process improvements and manage infrastructure scalability and optimization to enhance team performance and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to inform technology strategy and decision-making.
- Collaborate with business units to deliver automation capabilities and oversee product strategy alignment, ensuring seamless integration and communication.
- Implement security best practices to protect assets and data, managing vendor relationships to ensure performance and organizational alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; Master's preferred, demonstrating expertise in technical operations management.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical operations management, preferably in fast-paced tech environments, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards shared goals.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, infrastructure management, and agile methodologies, with experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholder expectations.
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PMBOK are advantageous, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in project management and technical operations.
