To drive our people strategy and safety culture to new heights, we're now looking for a Head of HR & EHS to join our Southern Africa Sales Area leadership team within our Mining business area.
This is a key strategic role where you'll shape the future of our workforce and ensure we lead with integrity, inclusion, and operational excellence.
You report directly to the Vice President Sales Area Southern Africa and are a vital member of the regional management team.

You lead the HR and EHS agenda across Southern Africa, translating global strategy into local execution.
You ensure compliance with legislation, drive transformation, and embed a high-performance, inclusive culture.
You oversee all HR functions—from talent acquisition and development to employee relations, wellness, and organizational design—while also leading the SHEQ function to ensure safety and sustainability are at the core of our operations.
You act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, manage a team of HR professionals, and ensure our people practices are future-ready, data-driven, and aligned with business goals.
You also play a key role in workforce planning, succession management, and preparing the organization for the impact of new technologies.
This role is based in Kempton Park, South Africa, and requires local, regional, and occasional international travel.
We're looking for a seasoned HR leader with a degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (MBA or MBL is a plus), and at least 10 years' experience in HR, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
You have experience working in complex, matrix environments—ideally in mining, manufacturing, or similar sectors—and possess a deep understanding of South African labour law, transformation frameworks, and strategic HR practices.
Relevant experience from working in Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, and other countries within the Southern African region is highly regarded.
You're resilient, adaptable, and business-savvy.
You build strong relationships, communicate with impact, and lead with empathy.
You're comfortable navigating change, managing diverse stakeholders, and using data to drive decisions.
