Job Title: Head of Freight Forwarding - SSA Region

A leading Logistics company is seeking a Head of Freight Forwarding for the SSA region, based in Johannesburg. This role involves:

1. Developing business within assigned industry verticals in SSA, focusing on new customer acquisition, geographic expansion, and freight forwarding sales activities.
2. Leading the creation of trade lane strategies and products, leveraging freight forwarding and related capabilities to enhance trade in the region.
3. Integrating sales and operations planning for strategy development and forecasting, along with providing relevant reports to stakeholders.
4. Collaborating with regional and global business development teams, emphasizing innovation, customer satisfaction, and team leadership.
5. Managing and growing existing regional accounts through contract renewal strategies and scope change opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving sales quotas at a relevant scale.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in transport, logistics, or freight forwarding industries.
• Significant sales experience and team management skills.
• At least 5 years of work experience in Africa.
• Experience across multiple verticals within the freight forwarding industry.
• Knowledge of contractual requirements and industry standards.
