A leader in the vehicle / fleet tracking industry is seeking an experienced and qualified Head of Shared Services - Finance to join their team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric
- Advantage - Masters' or completed bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8-10 years of experience in operational finance / shared services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in managing shared services functions
- Clear credit record

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage departmental leaders and ensure effective delivery of transactional finance services
- Maintain oversight of operations, including fixed asset register management, additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Design and implement process improvements and optimize resource utilization
- Drive compliance with operational costs and oversee financial transaction processing (accounts payable, receivable, billing, collections, fixed assets)
- Develop and implement collections strategies to minimize bad debt and manage debtor aging
- Manage relationships with external collection agencies and intervene in complex cases
- Oversee procurement functions, including vendor selection, PO processing, and contract negotiation
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for tracking device sales and related services
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and maintain operational controls
- Lead operational risk management efforts
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, addressing training and development needs
- Streamline and automate financial processes and evaluate new technologies
