A fast-growing consumer goods business is looking for an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Head of Finance to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.

As the Head of Finance, you will be instrumental in driving margin optimisation, ensuring robust group accounting, and partnering with the executive team on marketing ROI and strategic growth levers.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role - perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial and accounting functions across the group, including accurate reporting, forecasting, and consolidated accounts.
• Optimise margins by developing effective pricing strategies and controlling costs to drive sustainable profitability.
• Collaborate closely with marketing to evaluate return on investment, analyse customer acquisition trends, and guide data-informed growth decisions.
• Lead and develop the finance team, strengthening core processes across accounting, compliance, and financial operations.
• Create and manage comprehensive financial models to support strategic planning, investment evaluations, and capital raising efforts.
• Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, contributing to fundraising activities, investor communications, and strategic financial narratives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified CA (SA) or CGMA with experience in the consumer goods sector and an understanding of product, pricing, and channel dynamics.
• Entrepreneurial and commercially savvy - able to connect strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Experience in group accounting and managing multi-entity structures.
• Proven success in margin optimisation, operational efficiency, and strategic financial support.
• Data-driven with strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Comfortable working in lean, high-performing teams.

Salary:

• R960,000 - R1,200,000 CTC per year depending on the candidate
