Head Of Enterprise Solutions

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to the following :

Strategy and Planning :

1. Develop, implement and manage the strategy for enterprise solutions.
2. Ensure the strategy aligns with the ICT strategy and overall business strategy.
3. Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the enterprise solutions landscape.
4. Lead and mentor a team of enterprise solutions professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
5. Design, document and oversee the development of enterprise solutions, ensuring they meet ICT, business and technical requirements.
6. Develop and implement transformation strategies, plans, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
7. Develop an understanding of our existing IT infrastructure while actively searching for improvement areas.
8. Evaluate existing and emerging technologies on a regular basis.
9. Ensure that applications are of high quality and meet the required standards.
10. Identify opportunities for improvement in application development processes and technologies.
11. Ensure the technological level remains up to date, define standards, and implement new frameworks, policies, processes, procedures and techniques.
12. Lead the implementation and ongoing management of enterprise solutions, including implementations, ongoing and resource allocation.
13. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of applications and projects, ensuring completion within agreed timelines and budget.
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and execute transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.
15. Manage relationships with third-party vendors who provide enterprise solutions, applications, integration, development and/or consultancy services.

Governance, Risk, Security and Compliance :

1. Ensure that enterprise solutions comply with governance, industry standards and regulations. This includes addressing cybersecurity risks and implementing necessary safeguards.
2. Identify and mitigate risks associated with application development projects.
3. Ensure the security and integrity of applications, data and systems.

Stakeholder Management :

1. Function as a key liaison between IT, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless adoption of applications and associated solutions.
2. Skilled at identifying pain points and designing or modifying technical solutions to solve company problems.
3. Involved in daily work across all business units, regularly interacting with both stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Budget and Resource Management :

1. Manage the budget and resources allocated to enterprise solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource utilization.
2. Must be able to scope and cost solutions effectively.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement :

1. Continuously monitor the performance of enterprise solutions and identify areas for improvement and optimization. Report performance to senior leadership on a frequent basis.
2. Identify and assess opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge :

1. An honours degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience of at least 10 years in enterprise solutions, application development, and team leadership and various programming languages, databases, and application development frameworks.
3. Experience in managing large-scale projects and delivering on time and within budget.
4. Proficiency in multiple programming languages and development tools.
5. Experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
6. Experience and knowledge of data, database technologies, integration and systems architectures.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential.
8. Ability to identify and resolve technical problems quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
9. Proven ability and experience working with modern technologies and roadmaps to ensure continuous delivery.
10. Excellent leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and the ability to inspire team members.
11. Strong written and verbal skills with proven project management experience.
12. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
