Placements24 is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Head of Department for Science in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee the science curriculum, manage a team of educators, and drive high-quality learning across all grades.

The role requires a Master's in science, teaching qualifications, at least eight years of teaching experience with three in leadership, strong curriculum development skills, and outstanding organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a Science field and a recognized teaching qualification are required.
• At least 8 years of teaching experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership/head of department role.
• Proven experience in curriculum development and educational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Science Department, including curriculum development, resource allocation, and staff supervision.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in science.
• Ensure compliance with national curriculum standards and promote best practices in science education.
• Mentor and provide professional development opportunities for science teachers.
