Applicants for this position are expected to have proven departmental management experience, an appropriate university degree and must be SACE registered. A strong foundation in geographical and environmental studies within the IEB curriculum, along with experience in the Cambridge curriculum, would be a distinct advantage. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and model professional excellence. A genuine commitment to, and passion for, education inSouth Africa and the development of young minds, is highly valued.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, dedicated person who will fully engage with students ranging from Grade 8 to Grade 12 so they flourish both in the classroom and in other aspectsof their lives.

The successful candidate will be required to lead the Geography department with vision and innovation, to teach lessons up to Grade 12 level in the IEB curriculum and to inspire a love of Geography. They should be proactive and keep abreast with educational trends and curriculum developments.
