Job summary

Nedbank is seeking an experienced data and AI leader for Group Internal Audit to define and deliver a governed data products and AI-enabled solutions that improve audit execution and risk visibility. You will own end-to-end delivery from opportunity to adoption, partnering with IT, data owners and executives.

Responsibilities include designing dashboards, establishing reporting standards, building scalable pipelines, and leading GenAI initiatives with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Python-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data, technology, risk or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications in data, technology, business or risk are advantageous.
• Recognised certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, AI/ML, data engineering, solution architecture, automation or software development are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data enablement, management information, reporting and automation roadmap for GIA.
• Own the design and delivery of executive, Audit Committee and operational reporting products.
• Establish reporting standards, data definitions, quality controls, reconciliation routines and governance processes.
• Identify, prioritise and deliver automation opportunities across the audit lifecycle.
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, Python and SQL.
• Lead the development and orchestration of AI agents and GenAI solutions using enterprise frameworks.
• Define solution architecture, technical requirements, delivery standards, test approaches, release controls, documentation and support models.
• Implement monitoring for data pipelines, dashboards, automated workflows and AI solutions.
