The Head of Compliance will be responsible for ensuring that Volvo Group Southern Africa complies with its outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws relating to areas covered by the Volvo Group Code of Conduct, by empowering and supporting management and staff in the relevant requirements, as well as overseeing that all internal and external notification and reporting requirements are met. The role must work with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory risk and ensure the implementation of AB Volvo/Volvo Trucks and Volvo Group Southern Africa compliance policies, including ensuring that the maintenance of documented and effective compliance procedures and controls are consistent with internal standards, business goals and attitude to risk. The role will coordinate and drive harmonisation in joint company compliance related issues.
The role is a member of the Volvo Trucks Executive Leadership Team as well as Volvo Group Southern Africa Country Management Team (CMT) in addition to being responsible (lead or participate) for any committee that the Company may determine. The position works in close collaboration with Volvo Trucks International and the Volvo Trucks Legal and Compliance, Business Control and People and Culture communities.

A committed and driven team-player with excellent problem-solving skills and strong ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders on different levels in the organization, as much as outside of the organization. We need an individual who has extensive in-depth knowledge and experience in risk management, corporate governance, and regulatory framework and trends - a thought leader in Compliance.
