Job summary

Emeris, Ruimsig Campus, invites applications for Head Of Engineering (Civil Engineering). The role provides academic leadership, manages the School’s operations on campus, and interfaces with the Head of School.

The successful candidate will shape teaching and learning strategies, supervise staff, and drive accreditation efforts. Minimum qualifications include a Masters in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (NQF 9); PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering (NQF 9).
• PhD preferred with postgraduate supervision experience.
• 5+ years teaching and learning experience with exposure to higher education settings.

Responsibilities

• Overall leadership and management of the School on campus.
• Plan resource allocation for academic operations of all programmes on campus.
• Review results and implement teaching strategies for at‑risk students.
• Lead recruitment and development of the academic team.
• Support accreditation development for new programmes.
• Represent the School on campus committees and engage with stakeholders.
