We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy, innovative thinker with proven senior leadership skills, exceptional financial ability, and strong business acumen to lead a cross-functional management team. Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage and manage key stakeholders and suppliers. A strong and confident negotiator at all levels. Excellent communication, interpersonal, ethical, and influencing skills.
As a Head of Business, your key responsibilities will be:
- To translate the broader Group strategy into clear direction, priorities, and objectives for the Fabiani & G-star business.
- To be an agile leader who proactively adapts to change and innovation making the customer central, with a view to increasing broader economic and social value (ESG), making a profit, and increasing shareholder value.
- To lead and deliver on the strategy by empowering a multifunctional management team to execute set functional objectives and targets. Monitor results and steer the business and team to attain success. Maximise team performance through ensuring the best use and allocation of resources.
- To optimise business profitability across omni-channel retailing, through superior customer and employee experiences leveraging data-informed decision making, a strong stable supply chain, and capability, strategy, and processes for an efficient flow of goods from concept to consumer.
- To optimise and deliver on all set KPI’s which include:
- Financial targets (incl. ROCE)
- Budget forecasting, control, and expense management
- Inventory management
- Business transformation targets
- Supply Chain / Procurement strategy (incl. Local manufacture targets)
- E-Commerce trading targets
- Customer acquisition, Location, and expansion strategy
- To build and maintain relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders that align to our purpose and values.
To apply you need to have:
- Minimum 10 years working experience at a Senior management level, preferably with cross-functional management experience.
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Exceptional financial acumen, analytical ability, and a solid understanding of the retail business mechanics that drive all KPIs.
- Sound judgement, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High resilience and agility with the ability to work well under pressure and deliver to aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High emotional intelligence and experience in leading diverse teams and individuals.
- Ability to drive change, persuade and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to attract, hire, retain and motivate a senior cross-functional team and a talent pipeline.
