Our client in the banking sector seeks a Head: Learning and OD for a 12-month contract.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Lead of Capability Development to lead 2 critical projects aimed at building a comprehensive learning framework and solutions.

This role will manage the execution of capability building across a multi-cluster commercial and retail bank, with a strong focus on Risk Management and Audit capability as well as ESG, Sustainable Development Goals, and Sustainable Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Finalise the Learning Framework for core, strategic skills development across various processes and clusters.
  2. Structure and onboard SME teams to advise on skills, tools, and application requirements.
  3. Review, analyze, and validate existing learning solutions and vendor insights.
  4. Conduct an external scan and evaluate options.
  5. Map solutions to requirements and propose a delivery model with costing.
  6. Develop, source, or scale core learning solutions for identified target audiences.
  7. Manage the adoption of the Academies.
  8. Drive value by tracking against business case metrics.
  9. Engage and influence significant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Advanced degree in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in leading large-scale learning and development projects within the banking or financial services sector.
  3. Proven track record in developing and implementing learning frameworks and solutions.
  4. Experience within Risk Management, Audit, Compliance as well as ESG, Sustainable Development Goals, and Sustainable Finance.
  5. Experience in stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels.

Technical and Professional Knowledge

  1. Expertise in learning and development methodologies and best practices.
  2. Knowledge of tools and applications relevant to learning and development.
  3. Ability to analyze and validate learning solutions and vendor insights.
  4. Strong project management skills, including costing and delivery model development.
  5. Familiarity with integrating various learning programs and academies.
