Job description

Position: Contractor Development and Training Manager

Overview

The National Construction Incubator (NCI) is seeking a qualified Contractor Development and Training Manager to oversee training programs, facilitate accreditation, and develop standard operating procedures. The role involves engaging with contractors, training regulators, and supporting project implementation to promote sustainable construction businesses and job creation in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee NCI’s contractors and training programs.
  2. Facilitate NCI’s accreditation with relevant SETAs.
  3. Develop standard operating procedures and quality management systems.
  4. Implement targeted technical training programs for internal and external clients.
  5. Coordinate procurement and sourcing of service providers and training materials.
  6. Monitor and evaluate all training programs for successful implementation.
  7. Prepare and consolidate monthly and quarterly reports.
  8. Publish success stories and updates to enhance NCI’s profile.
  9. Infuse software and technology solutions to improve operations.
  10. Update policies in line with industry legislation.
Requirements
  • Matric and a National Diploma/Degree (NFQ Level 6) in Engineering, Environment, Construction, or Training & Development.
  • 5-10 years of work experience in training.
  • Accredited Assessor certification.
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
