Head Barman

Our hospitality client is seeking a creative and charismatic Head Barman to lead our program at one of the country’s most iconic 5-star Wine Estates. This is a unique opportunity to curate a world-class bar experience that complements our award-winning wines, fine dining offering, and breathtaking setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth, professional, and efficient service at all times.
2. Create and maintain a classic yet creative beverage menu, including cocktails, spirits, and wine offerings.
3. Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to consistently deliver 5-star service.
4. Ensure the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and maintained to the highest standards.
5. Engage with guests to provide a welcoming, personalized experience.
6. Monitor inventory, place orders, and manage stock control and costing.
7. Work closely with the F&B and events team to support private functions, wine tastings, and estate events.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior bar role, preferably in a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or wine estate.
2. Strong knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, and wine (WSET Level 1+ beneficial).
3. Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
4. Attention to detail and a strong sense of hospitality.
5. Well-groomed, confident, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
6. Experience with POS systems and stock management software.
