Job description

ROLE PURPOSE

To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment.

MAIN OUTPUTS

1. Perform tasks in accordance with job cards (work orders) issued, as per Client and Company requirements.
2. Conduct investigations, evaluations, and restorations on identified equipment malfunctions.
3. Carry out minor repairs and servicing on all electrical equipment and appliances as per SLA.
4. Perform office movement related tasks, including but not limited to, installation of furniture, shop fitting, repair of doors, locks, handles, windows, replacement of ceiling and carpet tiles, and general paint work.
5. Carry out minor repairs and servicing on all plumbing-related equipment as per SLA.
6. Perform Tier 1 inspections and repairs on all air-conditioning related equipment.
7. Carry out inspections and report on all fire and access equipment, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire hydrants, fire detectors, and access control equipment.
8. Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services.
9. Provide constant feedback to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager/Resource Coordinator on the restoration status of operations.

Qualifications / Requirements / Knowledge / Skills / Experience

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Matric (Senior Certificate)
• N3 Technical (Electrical/Mechanical)
• Valid SA Driver's License
• 3 years relevant experience in Handyman maintenance tasks
• Basic training on hand tools, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
