MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services remain functional in a safe and cost-effective manner.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Essential: Grade 12 / Matric
• Desired: Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme - Certification; Driver's license Code B

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Essential: 5 years' experience in building maintenance and repair (skilled) or Mediclinic qualified (Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme). Experience in building maintenance, with a focus on electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Desirable: Additional relevant skills and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Perform technical tasks within the locality.
• Handle administrative duties related to the technical function.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors.
• Maintain relations with clients and stakeholders.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of building maintenance issues, fault finding, troubleshooting, and general equipment repairs.
• Ability to read layout plans and diagrams.
• Understanding of occupational safety, health, and environmental standards (e.g., OHS and ISO).
