Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Microbiology or a related life science (essential).
• Practical laboratory experience and competence in microbial methods.
• Routine lab technique: microscopy and counting, dilutions and aseptic handling.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory quality control testing using microbial methods.
• Support laboratory production and sample preparation work.
• Record and report test results accurately and on time.
• Receive, log and store samples correctly.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping, equipment logs and consumable stock.
