Job summary

Merand Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Foreman to oversee daily production activities in a manufacturing facility. The role is hands-on and suited to someone with practical factory experience who can supervise machinery, processes and personnel.

The successful candidate will ensure production targets and quality standards are met, maintain safety practices, and assist with maintenance and process improvements. Overtime and shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Hands-on, practical approach to problems and processes.
• Safety-conscious with regard to chemical handling and plant safety.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts or standby when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities and ensure targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Allocate daily tasks to employees and communicate responsibilities clearly.
• Supervise performance, discipline and safety compliance among the team.
• Monitor machinery and equipment for safe operation and maintenance needs.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs and process improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping and records for safety, quality and production.
