The Guidewire team plays a vital role in enabling PwC's growth while safeguarding our reputation and brand. This team will be central to the firm's upcoming changes.

If you seek a career with diverse daily challenges, complex problems, and the opportunity to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

We offer several exciting opportunities across various roles and disciplines within our expanding Guidewire / Insurance team. As a Guidewire Developer, you will participate in business requirements, review meetings, and provide design & solutions for user stories on Guidewire projects.

Your responsibilities include estimating development efforts during sprint planning, configuring and integrating solutions, and developing, testing, and documenting software solutions according to requirements.

What will you do?

  • Develop high-quality software solutions following Guidewire best practices.
  • Create test data and unit tests to ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Perform defect triage and fixes during testing phases.
  • Ensure compliance with non-functional, security, regulatory, and other requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and release software updates.
  • Engage in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to support new opportunities.
  • Mentor junior developers.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the team.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 4 years of software development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the Insurance domain, preferably Property & Casualty / General Insurance.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite products (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or Digital Portals) configuration or integration.
  • Proficiency in GOSU, JAVA 5 / J2EE, Web Services, XML, SQL, Gradle, Spring, Hibernate, Castor, REST/JSON, and Enterprise Messaging Systems.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Tortoise SVN) and ticketing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to have?

  • Client-facing and design experience.
  • Expertise in Product Designer / Rating integration.
  • Guidewire Certification on the latest version.

We are committed to providing you with skills, experience, and training to support your personal and professional development. As a PwC employee, you'll participate in our tailored Operate training framework, which includes externally accredited qualifications.
