Guide & Back-up Trails Guide / Relief Management – Waterberg

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Guide and Back-up Trails Guide with the ability to assist with relief management at a luxury safari lodge in the Waterberg, Limpopo. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile hospitality professional with strong guiding skills, a commitment to guest satisfaction and the ability to support lodge operations when required.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and informative game drives, ensuring memorable guest experiences.
  

• Assist with walking safaris and back-up trails guiding, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
  

• Share in-depth knowledge of the local wildlife, flora and fauna, and the surrounding ecosystem.
  

• Assist with daily lodge operations and provide relief management support when required.
  

• Maintain high standards of guest service, professionalism and communication.
  

• Work closely with the lodge team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  

• Uphold all guiding, safety and lodge operational standards.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Field Guide, with relevant guiding qualifications.
  

• Back-up trails guiding experience and the necessary qualifications would be advantageous.
  

• Previous lodge management or supervisory experience.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• A professional, flexible and guest-focused approach.
  

• The ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing operational requirements.

Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month, depending on experience.
