Placements24 is seeking a Guest Relations Manager for a premier safari lodge near Welkom. You will ensure top-tier guest satisfaction, manage arrivals to departures, and deliver personalized service to international and local guests.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, addressing needs, coordinating activities, and supervising reception/concierge teams to maintain high service standards in a luxurious environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in guest relations, front office, or similar luxury hospitality role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safari lodge operations and tourism industry; ability to stay calm under pressure.

About the Role

Our client, a premier safari lodge situated near Welkom , is looking for an exceptional Guest Relations Manager to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction and personalized service. This role is central to creating memorable experiences for international and local guests, managing their stay from arrival to departure. You will be the primary point of contact for guests, addressing their needs, anticipating their desires, and ensuring a seamless, luxurious safari adventure in the Free State .

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, conduct check-ins, and provide comprehensive information about the lodge and its activities.
• Proactively engage with guests throughout their stay, anticipating needs and resolving any issues promptly.
• Coordinate guest activities, transfers, and special requests with relevant departments.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring service recovery.
• Maintain guest profiles and preferences to offer highly personalized service.
• Oversee the reception and concierge teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in guest relations, front office management, or a similar guest-facing role in luxury hospitality.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences.
• Familiarity with safari lodge operations and the tourism industry is advantageous.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Proficiency in hotel management software.
