Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager in Sandton to lead a critical security monitoring and incident response function. This hybrid role oversees daily SOC operations, mentors analysts, and shapes procedures with advanced technologies to ensure 24/7 vigilance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/CS, 7+ years in cybersecurity operations (3+ in leadership), strong SIEM/SOAR/EDR experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a SOC.
• Extensive experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security monitoring tools.
• Deep understanding of threat intelligence, attack methodologies, and incident response frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly preferred.
