Job summary

A dynamic advertising company is seeking an Account Manager for their new division based in Johannesburg. In this role, you will manage client relationships and shape the growth of the company. Responsibilities include overseeing campaign delivery, translating client objectives into impactful ideas, and negotiating deals. The ideal candidate has over three years of experience in digital media, especially in Programmatic advertising. This position offers a competitive salary and a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in digital media, preferably in Programmatic or Display Advertising.
  • Understanding of DSPs, trading desks, margins, and campaign optimisation.
  • Strong relationships across agencies and brands in South Africa.
  • Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into client value.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and a love of innovation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in ambiguity, excited by building something new.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key relationships with agencies, trading desks, and brands.
  • Translate client objectives into high-impact campaign ideas using BlueMatic's custom formats.
  • Oversee campaign delivery, ensuring execution excellence and measurable results.
  • Educate clients on BlueMatic's offering and the strategic advantage of interactive display.
  • Collaborate with Product, Creative, and Operations teams to turn ideas into market-ready formats.
  • Negotiate deals, maintain healthy margins, and ensure commercial sustainability.
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve future outcomes.
  • Help define the positioning and go-to-market strategy for BlueMatic in and beyond.
