Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage land tour programmes and events from start to finish
- Assist with administrative tasks and maintain accurate travel files and service records
- Travel with groups as needed to oversee on-site logistics and guest satisfaction
- Work closely with Reservations and Operations Managers to ensure commercial profitability
- Monitor supplier service levels and maintain strong partner relationships
- Liaise with accounts teams to support timely debt collection and flag potential risks
- Ensure all travel documentation and schedules are prepared and delivered promptly
- Stay informed on country travel restrictions and ensure group compliance
- Support handling of guest feedback, complaints, and emergencies
- Contribute to projects and assist management as required
Experience Required
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of inbound tour consulting experience within the travel industry
- Strong understanding of the tourism sector, including current trends, customer expectations, and travel industry channels
- Solid knowledge of Southern and East Africa with the ability to advise on destinations and experiences
- Proven ability to craft strategic and commercial decisions using sound business acumen
- Familiarity with products, third-party offerings, and applicable terms and conditions
- Experienced in handling crises, emergency responses, and operational risk management
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Teams, WETU, and reservation systems (Tourplan preferred)
- Skilled in financial analysis and margin management
- Creative and resourceful in designing unique, experience-led itineraries
- Strong negotiation, administrative, and analytical skills with high attention to detail
