A leading automotive group is looking for a professional and dedicated Group Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its digital transformation strategy. Focused on reimagining the car buying and selling experience, the company blends cutting-edge technology with exceptional customer service to create a seamless, customer-first journey. The CTO will drive the integration of AI-powered solutions across websites, CRM systems, and operational platforms—enhancing customer engagement and optimising performance across sales and aftersales functions

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field

Minimum of 5 years’ senior-level technology leadership experience

Hands-on experience developing and executing IT strategies aligned with business goals

Deep retail industry expertise, particularly in managing “always-on” audiences

Proven experience in digital transformation using CRM platforms and website technologies

Strong knowledge of AI integration tools (chatbots, predictive analytics, recommendation engines)

Advanced CRM understanding and integration with third-party or AI tools

Strong reporting, data, and analytics experience

Excellent people management and cross-functional leadership skills

Ability to drive results and meet deadlines

Operational experience in technology workflows : lead management, inventory systems, sales, aftersales, and workshop management

Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ROI focus

Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value

Availability to ensure 24 / 7 tech operations and presence during business hours (Mon–Fri, 08 : 00–17 : 30)

Duties and Responsibilities :

Technology Strategy & Innovation

Define and execute the group’s technological vision

Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies for strategic implementation

Partner with sales and marketing teams to align digital tools with business objectives

Design and manage technology budgets

Technical Architecture & Infrastructure Management

Oversee development and integration of websites, CRM, and digital platforms

Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and reliability

Drive improvements in UX for online lead capture, financing, and appointment bookings

Implement website personalization and AI-based customer tools

CRM & Data Integration

Streamline CRM workflows and automate repetitive tasks

Connect CRM, sales, inventory, and service for unified real-time insights

Implement AI-enhanced CRM functions (e.g., ChatGPT-based follow-ups)

Maintain digital compliance and data security

AI-Driven Sales, Aftersales & Customer Experience

Deploy AI sales agents (e.g., chatbots, virtual assistants)

Use AI for customer segmentation, lead scoring, and service automation

Implement predictive analytics for inventory, pricing, and customer satisfaction

Integrate AI into aftersales operations and CSI tracking

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

Lead cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, operations, and aftersales

Manage relationships with digital / AI vendors, CRM providers, and tech startups

Align technology solutions with executive leadership needs

Training & Adoption

Train staff on AI tools and digital platforms

Promote cultural adoption of digital transformation

Address resistance to change with clear ROI and performance improvement examples
