About the Role

The Group Tax Manager will assist in managing the Group's tax affairs, ensuring compliance with legislation and supporting strategic tax planning.

This role requires a highly skilled and adaptable professional with strong business acumen, as the Group operates across diverse sectors including financial services, insurance, and motor retail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee tax compliance and engage with SARS on audits, queries, and timely submissions.
  • Monitor and apply changes in tax legislation to the Group's operations.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review tax calculations, financial statement disclosures, and Board reports.
  • Drive process automation and improvements in tax-related workflows.
  • Provide expert tax advice, support audits, and contribute to tax-driven business strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team.
What You'll Need
  • BCom Honours in Accounting or Registered CA(SA)
  • 5 years of corporate tax experience (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of tax law, IFRS, and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, or Banking (advantageous)
