Job description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Tax Technology Specialist with at least 6 years of experience in tax technology within a global organization or consulting firm. This role will focus on driving the integration, automation, and optimization of tax processes and systems across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements, coupled with technical expertise in tax technology tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide assistance and support across the Group in relation to tax automation, ERP integration (TRCS, Vertex, SAP, Cognos), and tax data management.
  2. Deliver projects according to the plans developed by the tax technology manager, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  3. Proactively communicate project dependencies and risks to the technology manager.
  4. Manage the implementation and optimization of tax technology solutions to streamline compliance and reporting processes.
  5. Develop and maintain automated workflows for accurate and timely data processing related to tax compliance and reporting.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax data through system enhancements and controls.
  7. Collaborate with tax and finance teams to address technical challenges in compliance and reporting processes.
  8. Monitor global tax regulatory changes and update systems to maintain compliance.
  9. Build dashboards and analytics tools to provide actionable insights for tax planning and compliance.
  10. Ensure tax systems support robust data validation and reconciliation processes.
  11. Partner with IT, finance, and tax teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  12. Act as a bridge between TESS, the business, and Group Tax to meet user requirements.
  13. Provide training and support to tax teams on new technologies and workflows.
  14. Assist with testing and parallel runs as required.
  15. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance tax technology capabilities.
  16. Support the transition from manual to digital processes by promoting innovation within the tax function.
  17. Assist the Tax Technology Manager in developing and implementing a long-term tax technology roadmap aligned with TESS.
  18. Support the Group Tax Technology Manager on other tax technology projects and assignments as needed.
