Job Opportunity: Group Financial Reporting Manager

We are excited to announce an opening for a Group Financial Reporting Manager at our client, a luxurious, multifaceted wine farm. This role offers the chance to lead and strengthen financial reporting processes across the organization.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensure full compliance with IFRS, and uphold the accuracy and reliability of financial reports. We welcome candidates with a strong eye for detail and a passion for financial excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the group's financial statements in accordance with IFRS or relevant GAAP standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly and annual financial reports to key stakeholders, including executives and the board of directors.
• Supervise the preparation of financial reports required for regulatory submissions.
• Manage the consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations and financial reporting.
• Improve and maintain financial consolidation systems and procedures for greater efficiency and precision.
• Oversee the maintenance of the group's fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting policies.
• Monitor and ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, impairment reviews, and disposal of fixed assets.
• Collaborate with operational teams to track physical assets and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and enforce strong internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
• Identify and recommend improvements to financial and operational processes to strengthen controls and reduce risks.
• Partner with Financial Managers and Department Heads to provide key financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, including group financial reporting, consolidations, and auditing.
• Proficient technical knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA).
