Job description

My client based in Durban is currently looking for a Group Maintenance Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
  1. Execute company maintenance strategies and ensure their implementation across manufacturing operations and terminals.
  2. Provide expertise to branch / terminal Maintenance Managers for proper strategy execution.
  3. Ensure statutory compliance programs are in place at all sites and monitor adherence.
  4. Offer technical expertise to Maintenance Managers / mechanical engineers.
  5. Review and approve maintenance budgets and monitor compliance.
  6. Support training and development plans for maintenance staff.
  7. Provide engineering support.
  8. Manage line supervision for one direct report.
Experience
  • BSc Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • GCC certification.
  • IT competency.
  • Minimum 5 years' hydrocarbon processing maintenance management experience, ideally as GMR2.1.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and statistical techniques.
  • Familiarity with environmental and maintenance management systems.
  • Proven team management skills.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and cost control.
  • Good understanding of the OHS Act and related regulations.
  • Strong business, technical, commercial, and communication skills.
