Job description

This position will be based in our Food Lovers Head Office in Brackenfell, Cape Town and will report directly to the HR and Sustainability Executive.

Summary Of Responsibilities

To develop, manage and coordinate the learning and development needs for Food Lover's Market, ensuring ongoing improvement of the skills, knowledge and attitudes of colleagues in line with the FLM Vision to be `The Best in Fresh'.

Minimum Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of skills development legislation (SD Act, BBBEE Codes, Employment Equity, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
  • Experience with SETA submissions, WSP/ATR reporting, and learnership administration
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Learning Management, Human Resources or a related field
  • 8 years' experience in L&D or a similar function
  • Experience in leading an L&D team
  • Strong Learning and Development background, with a deep understanding of the principles of effective learning and development
  • Retail will be advantageous

Leadership

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordination of the various learning programmes to ensure complete oversight of all learning interventions within the FLM Group
  • Regular feedback, reporting and communication with key stakeholders, including business and divisional heads
  • Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all programmes
  • Building relationships with divisional heads and HR partners to understand their leadership needs and support the development of the leadership pipeline
  • The development of new leadership and management programmes in line with the training and development strategy

Skills

  • Analysing, developing, facilitating and rolling out skills development programmes in line with the company strategy
  • Ensuring that colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge in line with relevant legislation and in line with FLM business needs
  • Undertaking of annual skills audits.
  • Ongoing facilitation of key skills-based programmes in all FLM areas of business in line with L&D strategy

SETA, Monitoring And Evaluation

  • Liaise and engage with key stakeholders to ensure FLM standards are maintained throughout
  • Regular and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of all programmes and partners
  • Ensure full compliance with SETA, including reporting and submission of training plans to W & R Seta, relationship management, skills audits and sourcing of new opportunities.
  • Liaise with SETAs and external training providers for funding opportunities, accreditation, and partnerships
  • Coordinate internal and external training interventions, ensuring quality, compliance, and ROI

Administration

  • Drive the implementation and administration of learnerships, internships, apprenticeships, and other accredited programs
  • Monitor training budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of learning programs
  • Compile and analyse training data to provide strategic reports and insights to executive management
  • Maintain training records, systems, and related documentation in line with audit requirements
