Jobbeschreibung

This is a practical, business-facing technology and information enablement role for an experienced professional ready to take ownership of delivery while continuing to develop broader strategic and sector knowledge. Technology is an enabler of better advice delivery, client service, regulatory control and scalable operations.

You will work directly with senior stakeholders and partner firms to understand their existing technology and data environments, establish how their systems connect with group platforms, and identify, scope, cost and deliver improvements. The focus is on practical technology enablement, effective system integration, better data management and reporting, and continuous improvement of existing applications. The role is hands-on where appropriate, but is supported by an established third-party infrastructure provider and a data analyst. Guidance will be provided on the finer points of the group's operations, governance and wealth-management environment. You will report directly to the Group COO.

Qualifications Required
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification in information systems, information management, data, computer science, engineering, business analytics or a closely related field.
  • Further training in business analysis, data governance, reporting, AI, automation, project delivery, privacy or cybersecurity is advantageous.
Experience Required
  • Approximately 8+ years of relevant, progressive hands-on experience across information management, business analysis, data and reporting, systems implementation, automation or digital delivery.
  • Proven experience meeting business stakeholders, understanding existing systems and data, mapping integration needs and converting requirements into realistic, costed and implemented improvements.
  • Experience engaging directly with senior business stakeholders and external technology providers, including managing commercial discussions and delivery expectations.
  • Strong working knowledge of data management, data quality, reporting requirements, business applications and system integrations; able to collaborate effectively with a specialist data analyst rather than perform all detailed analysis.
  • Demonstrable applied AI experience, including regular LLM use and examples of AI agents or automations built or implemented.
  • Experience in a smaller business, entrepreneurial environment or lean team, with the judgement to work independently while making effective use of established specialist support.
  • Financial services, wealth management or regulated-business experience is advantageous, but not essential

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Power BI, CRM or comparable business platforms, data structures, integration methods and automation tools will be valuable. Candidates must be technically credible and able to engage with infrastructure specialists and data analysts; deep hands-on infrastructure administration and advanced statistical analysis are not required.

Personal Attributes
  • Confident, humble, personable, friendly and well-presented, with strong verbal and written communication skills and engage credibly at director level.
  • Commercially minded
  • Proactive, practical and accountable
  • Strong technical curiosity, up-to-date AI knowledge and the judgement to distinguish useful applications from hype.
  • Organised, adaptable and effective at managing priorities
  • Patient and effective when demonstrating systems and training non-technical users.
  • Motivated to grow into broader information and technology responsibility with coaching and exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Data & Information Management
  • Take practical responsibility for improving the quality, structure, ownership, flow and use of group information, particularly client, operational and management data.
  • Establish proportionate data standards covering master records, definitions, accuracy, access, retention, integration and ownership across partner and group systems.
  • Identify data-quality gaps and coordinate improvements with business owners and the data analyst; understand and validate the underlying data without being responsible for all detailed data cleansing or analysis.
  • Support POPIA compliance and privacy-by-design in collaboration with Compliance and relevant Information Officers.
Business Process & Workflow Optimisation
  • Meet with partner firms to understand their current systems, data sources, advice, onboarding, servicing, compliance and operational processes, and how these connect to the group’s environment.
  • Identify gaps between partner and group systems, duplicated work, manual processes, integration obstacles and opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, practical process designs, workflows, specifications and costed solutions.
  • Deliver and coordinate agreed improvements, performing business analysis, configuration, testing and user training where appropriate, and involving the infrastructure provider or data analyst for specialist work.
Advice Delivery Platforms and Applications
  • Understand, support and continuously improve CRM, financial-planning, client-onboarding, document-management, portfolio-reporting and other advice-delivery platforms, ensuring that they are reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Assess the existing applications and data environments of each partner firm, identify compatibility and integration requirements, and recommend practical improvements or replacements where justified.
  • Personally handle requirements gathering, solution design, appropriate configuration, user acceptance testing, troubleshooting and adoption; work with the established infrastructure provider on hosting, networks, hardware and specialist infrastructure matters.
  • Maintain a clear picture of application ownership, licence costs, integrations, data flows, dependencies, performance, user access and material risks; follow up on issues and ongoing improvements.
Management Information, Analytics and Insight
  • Improve the reliability, consistency, accessibility and usefulness of the data and reporting available to the group and its partner firms.
  • Work closely with the existing data analyst to define reporting requirements, improve data sources, validate outputs and enhance dashboards and reporting packs; the analyst will undertake detailed data analysis and report production.
  • Engage business owners and senior stakeholders to define meaningful metrics, establish reporting priorities and ensure executive, board, compliance and portfolio reporting answers the right questions.
  • Strengthen the data structures, processes and system connections that support accurate reporting, more advanced analytics, automation and responsible AI use.
Digital Transformation, Automation & AI
  • Identify and deliver realistic opportunities to improve workflows, system integrations, digital client journeys and AI-enabled productivity, working with relevant specialist providers where required.
  • Demonstrate current, hands-on use of large language models (LLMs), including which tools or models you use, why you use them and their limitations.
  • Be able to discuss and demonstrate AI agents, automations or AI-enabled workflows you have built, configured, tested or deployed, including the business problem solved.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and advise where they could realistically add value in advice delivery, meeting preparation, client service, compliance, reporting and administration.
  • Take solutions from idea and prototype through implementation, controls, user training, adoption and benefits measurement, with appropriate data-security safeguards.
Cybersecurity, Privacy and Resilience Oversight
  • Coordinate cybersecurity, technology risk, privacy and business-continuity requirements with the established third-party infrastructure provider and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the infrastructure provider maintains appropriate access controls, security arrangements, incident readiness, testing and remediation; track issues through to resolution rather than personally administering infrastructure.
  • Act as an informed liaison with the infrastructure and security specialists, understanding technical implications, questioning recommendations and making sure service levels and business needs are met.
  • Partner with Compliance, Risk and Information Officers to turn regulatory and security requirements into workable business controls.
Partner, Vendor and Delivery Management
  • Build strong working relationships with the leadership and operational teams of the group’s partner firms, understanding different levels of digital maturity.
  • Engage confidently with the existing infrastructure partner, software suppliers and other third parties; prepare clear scopes, obtain and assess quotations, and manage deliverables, costs and service expectations.
  • Coordinate estimates, implementation plans, integrations, testing, acceptance and handover across partner firms, providers and the data analyst; take personal ownership of delivery and escalation.
  • Use the existing infrastructure partner for infrastructure operations and the data analyst for detailed analytical work. The Enabler remains accountable for understanding the requirements, joining the pieces together and ensuring effective outcomes.
  • Provide practical training and post-implementation support to partner teams so new processes and technology are properly adopted.
Governance, Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Contribute practical input to the information and technology roadmap, investment priorities and sensible governance standards.
  • Present recommendations, solution options, costs, progress and results clearly to senior stakeholders, including directors and partner-firm leaders.
  • Explain systems, integrations, data management, reporting and AI in clear commercial language, communicating confidently and professionally with directors, partner-firm teams and providers.
  • Balance common group standards with the different cultures, systems and business needs of partner firms.
