Job description

The Group HR Director is a key executive leadership role responsible for defining and leading the human capital strategy across a diverse portfolio of mining and manufacturing operations. This position ensures strategic alignment of talent initiatives, labour relations, and operational HR excellence across all business units in the Group.

Key Responsibilities :

Group Strategic HR Leadership :

  • Define and execute a group-wide HR strategy that supports organizational growth, productivity, and workforce sustainability
  • Provide strategic counsel to the executive leadership team and board on all people-related matters
  • Lead integration of HR best practices across diverse operations

Talent Strategy & Capability Building :

  • Oversee enterprise-wide talent management frameworks : workforce planning, leadership pipelines, and succession planning
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the group

Labour Relations & Compliance :

  • Lead the development of standardized industrial relations frameworks across business units, ensuring alignment with local labour legislation

Operational HR Governance :

  • Establish and govern centralized HR systems, policies, and reporting frameworks across the group
  • Drive digitization and analytics in HR to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Standardize HR metrics and dashboards to track key workforce KPIs and labour productivity

Organizational Transformation :

  • Support M&A integration, restructuring, and organizational redesign efforts from an HR standpoint
  • Lead culture transformation initiatives aligned with group values, safety, and operational excellence
  • Guide change management initiatives and leadership enablement during business shifts

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
  • 18+ years of senior HR leadership experience, with at least 7 years in mining, manufacturing, preferred
