Job description

Strategic Planning and Execution

• Develop and implement the technology strategy aligned with overall business goals.
• Provide operational support to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), actively contributing to the successful execution of the Technology department's strategic plan.
• Drive the execution of technology initiatives and projects.
• Ensure alignment of technology efforts with the organization's long-term objectives.

Financial Management and Vendor Relations

• Manage technology department finances, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with the CTO to negotiate vendor contracts and payment structures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

Technology Infrastructure

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of technology infrastructure.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of technology systems.

Project Management

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within an adopted project management framework.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead and supervise day-to-day technology operations, ensuring optimal data availability and minimal network downtime.
• Align technology team structure to ensure optimal efficiency and delivery against agreed priorities.
• Coordinate and provide guidance to technology managers, fostering a culture of leadership, career development, and coaching for success among technology professionals.

Reporting and Advisory

• Report key metrics to senior stakeholders, including business executives, facilitating informed decision-making on technology-related matters.
• Provide recommendations and areas for action or improvement that align with the technology strategy and business objectives.

Innovation and Technology Trends

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
