Job description

We are looking for a Group Head Art Director with 10+ years of experience.

Additionally, we seek:

  • Highly conceptual individual (Must showcase at least 5 projects)
  • Exceptional strategic thinking (Provide 2 examples)
  • Execution of at least one digital campaign (Show at least 1 example)
  • Understanding of new and existing digital platforms
  • Knowledge of various programmes (Editing, recording, etc.)
  • Industry recognition through awards (e.g., Cannes, One Show, Loeries, Clios, Bookmarks)
  • At least 1 international and/or 1 local gold medal
  • Leadership skills & problem-solving examples

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Group Head of creative, you will lead our passionate, multi-talented studio, guiding junior members to deliver exceptional, integrated concepts that exceed client expectations.

You will be a craft-led, strategically driven, platform-neutral conceptual thinker with a desire to transform brands through beautiful, intuitive, and human-centered products and experiences.

The ideal candidate will be tuned into South African popular culture and its platforms, with a strong point of view on succeeding in this space backed by experience.

You should be able to handle two sizable and one small project simultaneously, attend all reviews with new ideas, and oversee projects independently.

What you'll do every day

  • Design and optimize campaign creative for various media channels, considering retargeting objectives
  • Scope, plan, and manage the creative process
  • Manage and mentor the creative team
  • Collaborate with strategists, developers, media, and accounts to ensure cohesive integration
  • Champion digital innovation in every project
  • Participate in campaign planning and real-time optimization
  • Contribute to pitches for new business
  • Manage multiple projects and generate ideas to present to clients
  • Create creative mock-ups and designs across channels
  • Lead the craft and design of ideas
  • Prepare presentations for clients and explore new presentation methods
  • Attend client briefings and workshops
