Job description

Group Financial Manager

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of abrasives and accessories to the automotive, marine, woodworking, DIY, metal, aeronautical, and composite industries.

They are currently looking for a Group Financial Manager to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Performing and updating of cash flow forecasts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis: ensuring accurate and timely reporting on cash flow forecast.
  2. Analyzing variances between forecast and actual cash flow to mitigate potential risks.
  3. Checking foreign procurement department activities daily, weekly, and monthly: reconciliation of foreign suppliers, foreign exchange variances, and supporting documentation for foreign purchases.
  4. Overseeing the annual budgeting process, including rolling budgets and forecasts.
  5. Providing support to the Group CFO and operational finance team as required.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Accounting or similar.
  • 3 years of articles with a medium-sized firm.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of commercial experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with foreign creditors and foreign exchange (advantageous).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS (advantageous).
  • Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in a team environment.
