Description
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leadership of Divisional Finance Teams
- Financial Controls & Risk Management
- Oversee group-wide accounting operations, GL integrity, journals, and reconciliations
- Manage divisional finance teams to ensure timely reporting and consistent controls
- Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and finance SOPs
- Drive process improvements in accounting and reporting workflows
- Support tax calculations and submissions with internal / external specialists
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, proactively manage team performance, and support employee career development
- Hire and retain high performers, actively manage change, and role model behaviors that align with our culture and values
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- CA(SA), 7–10 years post-articles, with at least 3 years in a senior finance operations role
- 5–8 years of experience in financial operations or controllership roles
- Proven experience managing multi-entity group consolidations
- Experience in a listed company environment (preferable)
- Background in FinTech, Financial Services, or high-growth digital businesses (preferred)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS :
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, month-end processes, and reconciliations
- Experience managing GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret management accounts and variance analysis
- Knowledge of VAT, tax provisions, and statutory compliance (beneficial)
