Job description

Our client in Paarl is in need of a young and dynamic Financial Manager / Corporate Secretary who will be responsible for overseeing group financial operations and fulfilling corporate secretarial duties. Manages financial reporting compliance and governance procedures while serving as a liaison between the Directors and stakeholders. Reports to the CFO and supports leadership in maintaining organizational financial health and regulatory compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Key Performance Areas :
  2. Oversee full accounting function for the group
  3. Complete monthly and annual journal processing
  4. Manage daily cash flow and banking facilities
  5. Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers
  6. Administer third-party loans and intercompany reconciliations
  7. Coordinate group short-term insurance
  8. Compliance & Reporting
  9. Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns
  10. Prepare and present management accounts
  11. Lead budgeting and financial planning processes
  12. Coordinate annual financial statements with auditors
  13. Manage director expense and loan account reporting
  14. Corporate Secretarial
  15. Handle all company secretarial administration
  16. Support board and committee meetings
  17. Operational Support
  18. Administer payroll and salary deduction accounts
  19. Manage employee provident fund
  20. Ensure cost recovery from subsidiaries for shared services
  21. Build stakeholder relationships
  22. Perform additional duties as assigned by the CFO
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Accounting degree / diploma)
  • Advanced computer literacy skills (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and collaborative approach
